Key Similarities
1. Look and Feel and build design are same.
2. Same set of shortcut keys.
3. 2.4 inches screen with 16M resolution.
4. Symbian OS v9.3, S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2
5. ARM11, 600Hz, Single CPU.
6. Accelerometer Sensor.
7. Video Recording Resolution - 640 x 480, Video Recording Frame Rate - 15 fps.
8. Maximum Memory Card Size - 16 GB.
10. Both uses the same battery BP-4L 3.7V 1500 mAh. So battery life will be based on individual's usage.
11. E72 and E52 features USB charging.
Key Differences
1. QWERTY keypad in E72.
2. E72 heavier by 30g.
3. E52 has a dedicated camera key, E72 doesn't.
4. E72 has a Magnetometer Sensor (whatever that is).
5. E72 features 5.0 Megapixel camera as againt 3.2 Megapixel camera in E52. 6. E72 has Bass Boost.
7. E72 has better internal memory, NAND and SDRAM (almost twice as E52).
As you can see there aren't many striking differences between the two, so its tough to make a choice. For almost an 100 Euros extra for an E72, I would rather buy an E52.
E52 - €245 ($325) + local taxes
E72 - €350 ($488) + local taxes
I'm still unable to decide if this is a worthier choice, I have attached a detailed comparison of the two. Any comments/suggestions welcome.

Nice comparison. But I think the E52 does not have an optical trackball, only the same button as the E55.
As for the magneto thing, not sure what it is either.. maybe it's just the digital compass hardware?
I tought all E52, E55, E72 had it.
Also trying to decide between the 3... to finally replace my reliable 5 year old Nokia 6630 (Symbian)
A main selling point of the E72 against the E52 is the qwerty. I will pay those 100 Euros to have the keyboard.
